Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate physical therapy programs and activities in compliance with long-term care facility guidelines.
Collaborate with administration, medical, nursing, and other departments to plan therapy services.
Maintain and uphold physical therapy standards, ensuring quality care for residents.
Direct and oversee the physical therapy department, including staffing needs and recruitment.
Provide training and mentorship to new and less experienced personnel.
Conduct evaluations, tests, and measurements to assess patient function and develop treatment plans.
Administer physical therapy treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
Document patient evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, and other required reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
Experience in skilled healthcare, hospitals, or related healthcare settings is required.
