Server Manufacturing Engineer

to lead and optimize server production operations. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality output, process efficiency, and alignment with Lenovo’s manufacturing standards. Key Responsibilities: Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product introductions. Manufacturing Process Development: Design, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and test fixtures. Supplier and Manufacturing Management: Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to develop and optimize custom parts and production processes. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), control plans, and work instructions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle. Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement activities, analyze production performance metrics, and provide technical support to the manufacturing floor. Engineering Knowledge:

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment. Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel. Project Management:

Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work within budget constraints. Software Proficiency:

Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, Manufacturing Systems software, data analysis tools, and other relevant software. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in server manufacturing or technical production. Preferred Qualifications: Proven leadership in cross-functional and cross-geo projects. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with Linux systems, server hardware, and enterprise fulfillment operations. Fast-paced, collaborative, and innovation-driven environment. Emphasis on safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement. In essence, Manufacturing Engineers are the bridge between product design and the finished product, ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and produce high-quality goods. Ideal candidate must shown ability to work independently in high pressure result driven organization and can self managed and motivate cross functional team to drive business KPIs forward. Ideal candidate must work without significant supervision and shown leadership traits in past work experiences.
