Epitec is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our automotive client's team. As a Production Supervisor, the candidate will play a pivotal role in supervising unionized employees and leading the production of world-class smart vehicles.
Top Responsibilities
Coach and Lead : Drive safety, quality, and productivity through standardized work and team development.
Monitor Operations : Respond to Andon alerts and verify smooth, safe, and quality production flow.
Continuous Improvement : Support problem-solving at the lowest level and implement lean manufacturing practices.
Material Flow Management : Ensure proper movement of materials from receiving to production and delivery.
Team Communication & Recognition : Build capability among Team Leaders and Members while fostering a positive work environment.
Union Workforce Leadership : Manage and lead unionized hourly personnel while administering the collective bargaining agreement.
Change Management : Oversee flawless introduction of new parts and engineering changes through proactive planning.
Data Accuracy : Identify and correct gaps in CMMS and production counts.
Key Qualifications
Education : High School diploma or GED required.
Experience
Safety management experience.
Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt preferred).
Skills
Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to listen and engage teams.
High professionalism under pressure; ability to multitask and work independently.
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving.
Ability to administer workplace policies and collective bargaining agreements effectively.
