The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care to clients, working independently or in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The NP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute episodes and chronic psychiatric conditions, while developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments, prescribing, and managing medications (including psychotropic drugs), ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and delivering therapeutic interventions through individual, group, or family counseling sessions. The NP will also provide emotional support, advocate for client needs, and promote wellness through education and preventive strategies. This role requires strong clinical judgment, cultural competence, and a commitment to evidence-based practice in mental health care.

Responsibilities

Prescribe medication dosage, routes, and frequencies based on clients need.

Analyze and interpret clients’ history, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.

Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice.

Diagnose or treat acute health care problems such as illnesses, or infections.

Prescribe medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost as legally required to do so.

Inform clients about drug regimens, side effects or interactions with other substances such as food supplements, over-the- counter (OTC) medications, and herbal remedies.

Recommend interventions to modify behavior associated with health.

Educate clients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses by providing tailored instructions to clients.

Understand Electronic Health Record, utilize it, and have record completed based on company and licensure policy required regulations.

Works with a team of professionals to provide quality care to the client.

Provide weekly and monthly supervision for staff development.

Conduct weekly meetings with clinical team.

Meet with Supervisor on a weekly basis.

Perform clinical assessments to determine an appropriate level of care for clients via in person or face-to-face.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing or Science of Nursing related fields

Must have 3-5 years’ experience as a practicing Certified Nurse Practitioner

Current Nurse Practitioner Certified from AANP or ANCC

Current Nursing License as a Certified Nurse Practitioner
