SRT nurses must be willing to float between UNC REX Raleigh and UNC REX Holly Springs campuses. Daily assignments are based on the staffing needs of both facilities. Role Overview:

This position is ideal for nurses with Intermediate Care experience. Initially, teammates will work primarily in one of the list areas below. After six months, and based on departmental needs, nurses may also be trained to work in other areas. Cardiovascular Surgical Stepdown Cardiac Medicine Unit Cardiac Procedural Medicine Unit Medical Stepdown Intermediate Care Shift & Schedule Requirements:

Full‑time night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Minimum of 36 hours per week (three 12‑hour shifts per week) Must work at least four 12‑hour weekend shifts per six‑week scheduling period Must work two official and one unofficial holiday each year Holiday scheduling is determined by a rotating holiday track at the time of hire to ensure fairness and unit coverage Who We're Looking For:

Education – Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self, attend education programs, use patient education materials, assess readiness to learn. Evaluation of Care – Identify expected patient outcomes, seek guidance, participate in interdisciplinary discussion, communicate relevant information. Implementation – Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, perform bedside point‑of‑care testing, utilize standards, organize and prioritize care, consult timely. Leadership – Develop goals to promote professional growth, achieve goals, support intra/inter‑departmental collaboration, promote cost‑effective care, give feedback, ensure safe environment. Patient Assessment – Recognize data from complex situations, synthesize assessment, anticipate discharge needs, build relationships with families. Planning – Collaborate with patient/family, use multidisciplinary resources, address cultural and ethnic issues, prioritize tasks. Research – Read relevant journals, bring ideas to staff, assess applicability. Other Information

Education Requirements: Graduation from a school of professional nursing. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment and obtain a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Nursing or a Master’s degree within seven years. Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
