Job Summary Per Diem Speech‑Language Pathologist – Pediatrics at Spaulding Salem Outpatient Center for Children. Afternoon coverage needed. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and related disorders. This position is patient‑care oriented.

Essential Functions

Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.

Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.

Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.

Educate patients and families about disorders and provide communication strategies.

Collaborate with other health‑care professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications Education:

Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology required. Experience in lieu of a degree is not accepted.

Licenses & Credentials:

Speech‑Language Pathologist [State License] – required

Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver’s License – preferred

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC‑A) – preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – preferred

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) – preferred

Experience:

1+ year required, outpatient experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Familiarity with diagnostic assessments for speech and language.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures independently.

Ability to perform functions related to contemporary audiology and speech‑language pathology scope of practice.

Understanding of state standards, federal and state regulations.
