Job Summary The Progressive Care (Step-down) RN delivers high-quality nursing care to patients requiring critical and acute support. Responsibilities include collaborative interdisciplinary care, patient assessment, care plan development, medication administration, and safety advocacy.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and serve as the primary point of contact during patient transitions.
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze assessment data, create a comprehensive plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
Administer medications safely in accordance with state licensure and organizational policies.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required).
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ALSC required within 6 months of hire).
Experience & Qualifications
1 year of RN experience (required).
6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
