Position Overview

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek applicants for a full‑time faculty position in the Glaucoma division to join the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Academic rank and track are commensurate with academic record and experience. Responsibilities

The Division Director or Department Chair determines work assignments. Each faculty member will perform the full range of teaching, research/scholarship, and service responsibilities. Clinical services are a component of the faculty duty, with or without trainees, supporting the department’s academic mission. Faculty members will pursue research, quality‑improvement initiatives, curriculum development, and other activities consistent with their assignment. Patient care, research, and education will primarily occur in OSU multi‑specialty medical offices and surgical suites in the metro Columbus area, with coverage at Columbus VA also required. Service commitments include clinical service at OSUWMC facilities and other assigned sites; active participation in divisional, departmental, and college committee functions; and participation in professional organizations. Requirements

Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Ophthalmology by appointment and eligible for licensure in Ohio. MD or DO degree with completion of an approved residency program in Ophthalmology. Subspecialty training in a Glaucoma fellowship is required. U.S. citizenship is required for participation in this role. Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management of Glaucoma. Demonstrated interest in scholarship and discovery evidenced by basic and/or clinical applied research and publications. Commitment to resident, fellow, and medical student education is required.
