Job Summary The Rad Technologist I CT PRN utilizes Computed Tomography (CT) scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities

Follows a physician's instructions, prepares and operates Computed Tomography equipment, positions patients, and records diagnostic images.

Starts up and calibrates CT system daily.

Reviews orders with Radiologist to determine protocol for each procedure.

Performs CT procedures efficiently and timely.

Administers IV contrast with proper dosage and records documentation.

Orders and restocks supplies.

Reports equipment failures, schedules service and preventive maintenance.

Enters and completes orders in the Radiology computer system.

Maintains QA records.

Performs other job‑related duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of a JCERT approved school of Radiologic Sciences Program.

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computer Tomography (CT) or eligible to take the registry and must become registered within 12 months of hire.

Certified by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by AHA or ARC by first day of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Registered by the ARRT in Radiology (R) OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB.

Associate's degree in radiologic sciences.
