Join Central City Concern’s Community Engagement Program (CEP). CEP is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to meeting people where they are, helping them stabilize, heal, and rebuild their lives. The program specializes in supporting individuals who have struggled in traditional treatment models, including those with co‑occurring disorders, major disabilities, high healthcare utilization, and involvement in the justice system.

Dual Behavioral Health Clinician – Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling using a harm‑reduction approach.

Conduct mental health and substance use assessments to guide treatment planning.

Support clients in accessing primary and mental healthcare.

Assist individuals in navigating housing resources and overcoming barriers to stability.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—recovery mentors, social workers, and healthcare providers.

Help clients engage in employment counseling and training opportunities.

Advocate for and connect clients to long‑term recovery and support services.

Participate in clinical staff meetings, case conferences, and multidisciplinary treatment planning.

Conduct crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning.

Maintain accurate client records in compliance with state and federal privacy regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Eligibility to practice as an LMHT, LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent mental health professional.

Current CPR certification and driver’s license with ability to meet agency vehicle and safety policies.

Preferred certifications: QMHP, QMHP‑R, CPC, or equivalent. CADC‑R preferred; CADC‑1/2/3 highly preferred.

Experience in mental health and substance use treatment, especially with severe persistent mental illness.

Ability to conduct comprehensive intake, formulate DSM diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and supervise or be supervised as required.

Knowledge of de‑escalation techniques, motivational interviewing, and EBP treatments such as IDDT.

Uphold agency non‑discrimination policies and drug‑free workplace standards.

Schedule & Salary Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑5:00 pm. Salary range: $68,000‑$113,000, influenced by experience, licensure, and internal equity.
