Position Summary The Medical Assistant role will provide professional family‑centered care to infants, children, and adolescents as delegated by a provider or RN. Duties may include:

Escort patients to exam rooms and document information appropriately.

Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by a clinician.

Assist with procedures and treatments such as hearing/vision tests, rapid strep testing, nebulizer treatments, and urine catheterizations.

Collect and process laboratory specimens to ensure accurate testing while maintaining patient dignity, comfort, and confidentiality.

Maintain knowledge of and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR completion of an LPN/LVN or RN program.

Preferred

One year of experience in a clinic setting or completion of a Medical Assistant externship at a Children's Minnesota Clinic.

Pediatric experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Phlebotomy and basic laboratory skills (if required by clinic site).

License/Certifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

The posted salary represents a market‑competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend, or on‑call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
