Radiology Technologist (ORMC) Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is adding to our team of Rad Techs dedicated to meeting all the imaging needs of our community. As a Level 1 Trauma Center, our Rad techs operate multiple specialty equipment (O-ARM, CIOS, OMEGA, ZEIHM) to ensure high‑quality imaging across all centers and institutes.

Location Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando, FL.

Schedule Friday through Sunday; 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation.

Exercise professional judgment in performing services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to quality care.

Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.

Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.

Adhere to Orlando Health mission statements and commitment to excellence standards.

Assess the patient’s physical condition and age‑specific needs, provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.

Perform proper patient identification, acquire patient’s clinical history and ensure the information is accurately documented.

Position patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulate technical factors to achieve high‑quality images for interpretation.

Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.

Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.

Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality Control tasks.

Demonstrate proficiency in contrast medication administration.

Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.

Apply appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases.

Assist in supervision of student technologists and training of new technologists.

Utilize all corporate radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.

Ensure safety of all customers.

Maintain reasonable regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Graduated or graduating from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure / Certification

Valid certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.

Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.

Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Seniority Level Entry level.
