Position Overview
INPATIENT THERAPIST (Tues-Sat Schedule) at
Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System
Full‑time, Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Sign‑On Retention Bonus: $5000
Responsibilities
Perform social service functions to assist clients in meeting their bio‑psycho‑social needs.
Provide basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care.
Offer crisis intervention, individual therapy, short and/or long‑term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
Serve as an integral member of the treatment team and manage case coordination with internal/external support systems.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a mental health/human services field is required.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred.
Strong clinical assessment skills, with majority of experience focused on child/adolescent populations.
Licensure & Certification
Must hold LCSW, LSW, LPC, LCPC, or LMFT license within 2 years of employment.
Employee may pursue designation of Clinical Psychologist instead of the above licensures.
Skills
Training in psychotherapy techniques and evidence‑based models including CBT, DBT, etc. preferred.
Effective time management and experience completing therapeutic documentation.
