Fire Protection Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Technician to join our team and support industrial fire alarm and suppression systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems, ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' facilities with national fire codes and standards. This position requires travel about 50% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain fire alarm and suppression systems according to NFPA codes.
Conduct inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure compliance and functionality.
Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients regarding fire protection needs.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with construction teams to plan and install fire protection systems in new buildings.
Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to fire safety.
Qualifications
NICET certification in Fire Alarm and/or Fire Suppression preferred.
Experience with various fire alarm systems such as Notifier, Silent Knight, Siemens, Honeywell, and others.
Knowledge of NFPA codes and regulations related to fire protection.
Strong background in electrical systems and construction practices.
Relevant licenses and certifications in fire protection services are a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in field tech environments.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to travel 50% of the time.
Company vehicle, cell phone, laptop required; travel expenses covered by the company.
