We are searching for a talented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

*$3,000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours:

32 flex 40hrs

Shift:

Day shift with weekend and 1 holiday per year; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location:

Southcoast Business Center - Fairhaven, MA; covering New Bedford and surrounding areas.

Travel:

Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Position Summary Under direction of the Clinical Manager and the Occupational Therapist, work toward the achievement of the following patient goals: prevent disability, relieve pain, develop, improve or restore motor function and maintain maximum physical, emotional, social and mental performance within the patients capabilities. Meet all documentation requirements in a complete and timely manner.

Qualifications

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required to have an associate degree from a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.

Two years experience required.

Home care experience preferred. Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.

Requires proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs.

Must be licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant by the Board of Registration in Medicine of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
