Licensed Practical Nurse - 2.5 K Sign On - Day One Benefits
BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd and we are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to support plasma center operations.
Responsibilities
Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
Review laboratory test results, including serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Notify donors of unsuitable test results.
Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions per SOPs, including medical emergencies and development of standing orders.
Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on medical or technical issues and unacceptable findings.
Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
Manage employee incidents, determine need for evaluation by occupational health or ER, and consult EHS guidance.
Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
Qualifications
High school diploma or a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
Current LPN or LVN license in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
Current CPR and AED certification.
Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
Completion of FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Familiarity with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $23.85 - $32.79.
Additional benefits include medical/dental insurance, paid time off, retirement benefits, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well‑being benefits. Sick time and vacation accrue up to 80 and 120 hours, respectively.
