Job Description Seeking an experienced RN for a Whole House Resource Pool position with ICU, PCU, and MS float requirements and Epic documentation experience.

Responsibilities
Float between ICU, PCU, and MS units as part of the Whole House Resource Pool
Night shift schedule of 3x12‑hour shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.; 4x12 available by request
Patient ratios: ICU 2:1, PCU 5:1, MS 6:1 (may flex up to 7:1)
Frequent floating may occur, up to every 4 hours, with the possibility to float 2–3 times per shift
Uses Epic for charting and documentation
Weekend requirement is either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6‑week scheduling block
Must work one holiday per 13‑week contract (grant or none)
Responsible for managing critical, progressive, and medical‑surgical patients across multiple units
First‑time travelers are welcome to apply, and locals may be accepted based on facility radius rule
All requested time off must be submitted with the application
Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet‑designated for nursing excellence
Requirements
Active VA or compact RN license (non‑compact single‑state holders acceptable)
Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years ICU experience in a large Level 1 or Level 2 facility
Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial and central line management, blood products, and ventilated patient care
Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management, ETT/NT suctioning, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, titrating cardiac drips, and emergency response
Experience with continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, cardiac/vasoactive drips, and IV insulin protocols
Epic documentation experience required
Two professional references required
