Duties
Support the goals and mission of the college; provide quality instruction to your students; and communicate with your department chair or administrator.
Teaching duties will consist of courses from the Medical Assistant curriculum. Courses may include: MOA 115; MOA 141; MOA 142; MOA 144; MOA 147.
Education/Experience
Associate’s degree in health science or related field. CMA, RMA, or certification, registration or licensure as a healthcare professional or clinical experience. Certain courses may require additional requirements.
Qualifications
Appropriate certification or licensure or Associate’s degree in a health science discipline or a related field.
Registered Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) with recent ambulatory clinical experience preferred.
Knowledge of course content, as evidenced by education and/or experience.
Education or experience in effective direction and evaluation of student learning and laboratory performance.
Preparation in educational theory and techniques.
Credentialed or eligible for national credentialing as medical assistant is desirable.
