About the Position Warrenton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center seeks an energetic RN Weekend Supervisor with a go-getter attitude to join our team. The position operates on an 8-hour shift schedule every other weekend.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.
Confirm compliance with written policies and procedures, maintain quality assurance program, and coordinate nursing services with other resident services to maintain total regimen of care.
Administer medications, including IV medication/fluid administration, verify identities, and ensure accurate narcotic records.
Perform physical assessments, respond to call lights, consult with physicians, and monitor seriously ill residents.
Participate in facility inspections, surveys, and reviews of resident discharge plans.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current state license.
Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
Good leadership qualities, organized, and detailed in work performance.
Strong communication skills and genuine caring for elderly and disabled individuals.
Compliance with Resident Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
Working Conditions
Fast paced environment requiring quick decision making and frequent interruptions.
May work beyond normal duty hours on weekends and in other positions temporarily.
Subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation).
Exposure to infectious waste and hazardous materials.
