Travel – Mammography Tech at Ascension
Location: Local and national travel options available depending on need.
Gross Rate up to $3,037 per week
Department: Associate Travel Program
Schedule: Multiple shifts available, 36–40 hours per week
Hospitals: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals
This position is a permanent, full‑time role consisting of 8‑13 week assignments. It is not a short‑term contract. Additional benefits and rate adjustments may apply for extended assignments.

Responsibilities
Operate mammography equipment and perform related procedures, preparing and positioning patients and selecting accurate anatomic and technical parameters.
Explain procedures and educate patients on the importance of regular mammography for breast health.
Develop and evaluate film for technical quality (density, contrast, definition, distortion).
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure prompt submission of high‑quality images and documents to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data.
Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and ensure equipment functions properly.
Maintain a clean, orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following credentials obtained prior to hire or transfer:
Cardiographic Tech credentialed by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Medical Sonographer credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Education: High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years cumulative experience, or Associate’s/Technical degree, or 4 years applicable cumulative job‑specific experience.
Additional Preferences:
One year of recent experience as a mammographer strongly preferred.
Travel stipend eligibility for sites 50+ miles from permanent residence; partner with Recruitment for details.
