In this role, you'll partner closely with the Nursing Director of Professional Development to design education that inspires confidence, strengthens clinical excellence, and supports staff at every level. You'll lead meaningful training initiatives, build engaging competency programs, and help teams navigate change through innovative learning strategies.

What You’ll Do
Serve as a trusted resource, mentor, and change agent for clinical staff caring for pediatric patients
Assess educational needs, develop creative learning experiences, and evaluate outcomes
Build and deliver interactive competencies using modern teaching and active‑learning approaches
Support onboarding, professional development, and ongoing clinical education for multiple departments
Help shape practice through evidence‑based research, clinical expertise, and collaborative leadership
Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
Master’s degree strongly preferred
Experience
Five or more years of clinical nursing experience
At least three years in a primarily pediatric environment (Peds ED, PICU, or inpatient pediatrics)
Licensure & Certifications
Current Massachusetts RN license
BLS (within 3 months of hire)
PALS or PEARS (within 3 months of hire)
Pediatric specialty certification preferred
Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred
Skills & Strengths
Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
Creative approach to education, curriculum design, and program development
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to lead, influence, and support staff through change
Deep understanding of child development and the impact of illness and hospitalization
Appreciation for therapeutic play as a component of pediatric care
Tech-savvy with the ability to use digital tools to enhance learning
Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
