Seasonal Respiratory Therapist (Night Shifts) – PRN Days/Nights
Compensation & Schedule Rate:
$52/HR
Work Requirement:
72 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks)
Contract Duration:

Job Summary & Qualifications Responsible for demonstrating proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, executing assignments in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with respiratory students in clinical setting.
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care recognized by the NBRC.
One year experience in respiratory care with documented NICU and/or pediatrics training required.
CRT, RRT certification by NBRC upon hire.
Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required.
ACLS preferred (facility‑based requirements).
Program Requirements
Seasonal staff required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
May be asked to float to another nearby facility with emergent staffing need.
Four weekend shifts required each 4‑week schedule period.
At least two holiday shifts during the 32‑week period (as defined by Department Manager).
Seasonal staff are PRN status employees and subject to first call‑off with no guaranteed hours.
Seasonal staff will not be eligible for benefits except 401(k) and retirement contribution per PRN policy.
Seasonal staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD).
Registered Nurses in the seasonal program one opportunity to pass clinical competency evaluation.
Current employees of HWS not eligible.
Current employees of HCA not eligible for 2025–26 seasonal program.
Shifts may vary based on departmental needs.
