Base Salary Range: $51,541 - $59,097 plus benefits
FTE: Full-time, Non-Exempt

General Summary The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) will provide basic supportive dental procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist, assist the dentist, prepare materials and equipment for treatment, and ensure the patient is ready for the dentist. The ideal candidate will perform the following essential duties:
Prepare treatment room for patient
Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; position instruments for dentist's access; suction; pass instruments
Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth
Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts
Expose dental diagnostic x‑rays
Ensure the health history is updated
Educate patients by providing oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions
Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; call for repairs when necessary
Fabricate temporary restorations or custom impressions from preliminary impressions
Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
Act in accordance with the provisions set forth by the applicable State's Dental Auxiliaries
Clean each operatory in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines
Qualifications, Licensure and Certifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Successfully complete California Board‑approved courses in radiation safety and coronal polishing
Graduate from a California Board‑approved RDA educational program
Licensure as an RDA with the Dental Board of California
Current BLS Certification required
Experience
Must have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience working as an RDA or CDA
Skills and Abilities
Effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
Knowledge of dental/office equipment and dental/medical terminology
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
Bilingual and bi‑literate in English/Spanish preferred
