What We Need YOU To Do:
Ohio EPA wants you to join our team as a solid waste engineer in the Division of Materials and Waste Management (DMWM) at our Southwest District Office in Dayton, Ohio.
For us, proper management of Ohio’s waste is mission critical.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can work independently to review engineering plans and permit applications for solid waste landfills, waste transfer stations, and construction and demolition debris facilities to ensure they are accurate and compliant with applicable state laws and regulations.
You’ll perform field inspections and environmental sampling of waste management facilities and conduct complaint investigations. Based on your thorough analyses, you’ll prepare reports and correspondence summarizing inspection findings and develop strategies for bringing about compliance for facilities, as needed, including enforcement referrals.
As a subject matter expert, you’ll provide technical assistance to permittees, boards of health, government officials, and industry professionals regarding established solid waste management regulations and practices.

baccalaureate degree in engineering (Sanitary, Geotechnical, Civil, Environmental, Agricultural or Chemical).
