Full Time Radiology Technician Assistant
Danbury Hospital – Overnight shifts 11pm-7am, 3 days per week, rotating weekends and holidays.
Great opportunity for a healthcare worker to join a growing Radiology team. Due to our recent merger with Northwell, we are growing. Preference is given to candidates with some knowledge of radiology. We offer competitive pay, shift differentials, benefits, and a union position with pay based on full years of relevant experience. Responsibilities
Greets patients and directs patient flow from waiting rooms to exam rooms; ensures patients complete proper forms.
Evaluates patient prescriptions to ensure the appropriate exam is performed.
Orders and completes all Cerner functions.
Positions and prepares patients for procedures.
Assists technologist and radiologist during entire procedure.
Retrieves x-rays, medical records, nuclear medicine reports, and develops radiographs as needed.
Brings films to the radiologist for evaluation.
Cleans exam rooms following procedures and restocks materials.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum experience of zero to six months. Desired experience includes previous work in radiological services, knowledge of human anatomy, and familiarity with department procedures.
Working Conditions
Manual:
Significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
Occupational:
Significant occupational risk.
Physical Effort:
Very heavy effort; may exert up to 50 lbs. of force.
Physical Environment:
Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
Salary Range:
$17.00 - $24.91 hourly.
