What You Will Do
Provides direct patient care for assigned patients and assists in care of other patients as needed.
Performs all technical aspects of dialysis procedures for assigned patients as prescribed.
Accurate documentation of patient treatment information.
Reports significant changes in patient conditions to the supervisor.
Administers medications as ordered and assists with medication administration to other patients.
Assists with discharge planning.
Educates patients and families on renal disease, treatment options, medications, labs, diet and access care.
Competent in emergency procedures, initiates CPR, responds to dialysis emergencies.
Utilizes nursing practice standards and evidence‑based practices, plans and evaluates patient care.
Safely operates all dialysis equipment; minor troubleshooting.
Proficient in MIQS, the dialysis clinical and financial management software.
What You Will Need
Current license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse from the State of Ohio.
Current CPR certification, recertified bi‑annually.
Minimum one year experience in a pertinent clinical area, or ability to obtain experience through competency‑based orientation.
May require a valid Ohio motor vehicle operator’s license; insurable under Firelands’ auto policy. Proof of personal auto liability insurance may be requested.
