Job Title:
Hotel Night Auditor Job Summary The Hotel Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during the night shift, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing excellent guest service. This role combines customer service duties with accounting and auditing responsibilities to maintain smooth overnight hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform night audit procedures and reconcile daily financial transactions
Balance room revenue, cash, credit card payments, and other hotel accounts
Prepare and distribute daily financial and occupancy reports
Check guests in and out during overnight hours
Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally
Monitor hotel security and ensure guest safety during the night shift
Handle reservations, cancellations, and room assignments
Communicate important issues to management and morning staff
Maintain front desk cleanliness and organization
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality-related education preferred)
Previous front desk or accounting experience is an advantage
Basic knowledge of accounting and auditing procedures
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and handle overnight shifts
Familiarity with hotel management systems (PMS) is a plus
Working Conditions
Overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
Quiet but responsible work environment
Requires prolonged standing and occasional walking
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy of nightly financial reports
Guest satisfaction during night hours
Timely completion of audit tasks
Compliance with hotel policies and procedures
