Health Care Provider Hospitals and Health Care Senior Level Ultrasound Technologist – focusing on abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts procedures. Major Responsibilities

Perform high‑quality imaging for abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts studies, including real‑time interpretation of findings such as DVT, ectopic pregnancy, aneurysms, and pseudoaneurysms. Operate and maintain imaging equipment; report any equipment problems promptly to the Department Coordinator. Assist physicians during interventional procedures: amniocentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, cath‑lab procedures, thrombin injections, and other vascular interventions. Use duplex and pulsed‑wave Doppler to assess arterial circulation and map superficial veins for surgical harvesting. Document patient history, images, and preliminary results in accordance with department protocols. Communicate “STAT” and “Preliminary” findings to physicians and nursing units. Correlate current exam data with prior studies using PACS, RIS, CareConnection, and Datacheck systems. Participate in department QA programs, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement projects. Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑supplied ultrasound and vascular environment, ensuring sterilization of transducers and compliance with OSHA and infection control standards. Provide technical support for the smooth operation of the Ultrasound and Vascular Department, scheduling exams and interacting with coordinating staff. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required

RDMS registration for Abdomen and/or OB/GYN (obtained within 3 months unless waived). RVT registration (obtained within 3 months unless waived). RVS registration (obtained within 3 months unless waived). VS registration (obtained within 3 months unless waived). RCS registration (obtained within 18 months unless waived). RDCS‑AE registration for Adult Echo (obtained within 18 months unless waived). BLS certification (obtained within 6 months). Education/Experience Required

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Science. Minimum 1 year experience in Abdomen and OB/GYN and 1 year experience in Vascular exams. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Proficiency in abdominal, OB, pelvic, endovaginal, small parts, venous Doppler, carotid Doppler, and arterial studies. Moderate skill in assisting radiologist with procedures. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and STAT call‑ins. Capacity for lifting and transferring patients, and moving portable equipment. Strong communication skills for timely patient interactions. Resilience in a fast‑paced environment with strict time constraints. Exposure to ill patients; may encounter blood and urine samples. Independent judgment, reliability, responsibility, and temporary leadership capability. This job description outlines the general nature and level of work expected.
