Registered Vascular Technologist – Imaging Ultrasound – PRN

Performs advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and/or Doppler equipment.
Responsibilities
Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist the physician in diagnosing disorders affecting the circulation.
May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression.
Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results and other duties as assigned.
Depending on hospital department, may also perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and other vascular ultrasound procedures.
Assist physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures.
Education / Skills Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program required.
Experience 1‑2 years experience in vascular ultrasound preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT is required.
BLS is required.
