Job description
Job Summary – Ob/Gyn Ultrasonographer (Part time) We are seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to join our medical team. The Ultrasonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to create images for interpretation by physicians.
Duties
Perform ultrasound procedures following established protocols within the office setting and as established by national guidelines.
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of the patient's internal organs
Analyze technical information and medical history to optimize imaging procedures
Provide preliminary findings to physicians when necessary
Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to patient confidentiality guidelines
Additional Responsibilities
Provide a calm and safe atmosphere for patients
Maintain skills and certifications as needed – ARDMS
Other assigned duties as needed pertaining to ultrasound in office setting
Strong communication skills with patients
Work to help create a cohesive, collegial and supportive environment with other office staff.
Requirements
Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation using ultrasound technology
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Familiarity with aseptic techniques in ultrasound procedures
Understanding of medical imaging principles and practices
Skills
Diagnostic evaluation – utilize ultrasound equipment to obtain high quality images
Medical terminology
Anatomy knowledge
Physiology knowledge
Aseptic technique
Medical imaging experience – OBGYN ultrasound experience strongly preferred – maintain accreditation and stay up to date on technical advancements in the field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour.
