Overview As a phlebotomist at Grifols, you will work in a plasma center collecting blood from donors, ensuring donor safety and comfort, and operating advanced plasmapheresis equipment. Our ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and committed to keeping our donors comfortable and happy.
Qualifications
Superior customer service standards.
High School diploma or GED.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Interest in making a difference in the world.
Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality.
Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
Monitor donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product.
Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.
Occupational Demands Work is performed in a plasma center, exposing you to biological fluids and electrical and laboratory equipment. You may work with temperatures below 32 °F in a plasma freezer, require personal protective equipment, and stand for 6 to 8 hours per day. Bending, twisting, frequent hand and foot movements, light lifting (15 lbs) up to 50 lbs, and visual requirements are part of the role.
