Overview Join the
Respiratory Therapist NICU
team to partner with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in providing patient-centered care. You will administer inhaled and aerosolized medications, implement conventional ventilation methods, and perform duties related to setting up, operation, cleaning, and storing respiratory equipment.
Responsibilities
Provide patient-centered care to neonatal patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
Administer inhaled and aerosolized medications, including inhaled nitric oxide.
Implement conventional ventilation methods and perform duties related to respiratory equipment setup, operation, cleaning, and storage.
Collaborate with patients, families, and staff to provide age- and culturally appropriate care.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree from an accredited respiratory care program.
Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP).
Registered by the NBRC or eligible, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within 12 months of graduation or start date.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP).
Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty Certification (NPS), a plus.
Minimum one (1) year of Respiratory Therapist experience in a Level III or IV NICU.
Excellent communication skills with patients, staff, physicians, and visitors.
