Role Overview As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you’ll play a vital role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results that directly impact patient care. You will perform diagnostic testing and quality controls, prepare reagents, and ensure results are reported in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform all diagnostic testing and quality controls.
Prepare reagents and ensure accuracy in test performance.
Report results following established laboratory policies and procedures.
Perform moderate to high complexity testing and review results for accuracy.
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and computer systems.
Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and proper documentation.
Demonstrate organizational, time management, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Exhibit professionalism, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
Use and understand medical terminology.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Certification & Licensure
Required: State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
Preferred: ASCP Certification
Education
Required: Associate’s Degree
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
Preferred: 1 year of laboratory-related experience
