Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Compensation
Base Pay: $14.80 – $23.32 per hour (based on experience)
Special Pay: Additional $0.50 per hour until 02/28/26
Sign‑On Bonus: $1,000

Detailed Job Description
Collaborate with patients, families and staff to handle and resolve problems during visits.
Communicate expected delays to patients and ancillary departments.
Greet, escort, and answer phone calls; direct calls to appropriate areas; place calls as requested by supervisor.
Maintain the appearance of the waiting room, reception area, and offices.
Ensure completeness of patient medical records and physician orders.
Validate patient demographics, insurance, pre‑certification, prior authorization, referrals; manage copay collections; prepare billing documents using ICD‑9, CPT‑4 coding and managed care plans.
Handle patient check‑in/out, batching, scheduling, bumping, cancelling, and no‑show appointments; maintain bed control.
Prepare patients for examinations; take and record vital signs; print medication lists.
Perform point‑of‑care (POC) testing; maintain equipment and supplies.
Complete unit/department‑specific duties as outlined in department documents.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six (6) months of experience in frontline customer service and guest relations duties.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a health‑care setting, hospital admissions, registration, medical office, and use of medical terminology.
Physical Demands Very active; may require ambulating, standing and reaching objects above the shoulders and below the knees. Frequently lift or move objects up to 10 lbs. Occasionally up to 25 lbs. May be in contact with contagious illnesses. 24‑hour facility; rotating shifts and holidays may be required.
