Job Summary

The Clinical Dietitian II assesses the nutritional status of patients using recognized assessment tools and recommends and counsels patients, families, and/or caregivers on appropriate nutrition plans to improve disease or condition management. The role supports, models, and trains Clinical Dietitian I’s in core department behaviors and responsibilities, performs business functions such as cost‑effective resource management, and participates in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts to ensure safe and effective nutrition care. The position assists the Clinical Nutrition Director (if applicable) with coordination of clinical nutrition services. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with completion of an accredited dietetics program (ACEND – Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics). Three (3) years of acute‑care hospital or similar experience working with patients at more complex levels of care to specialized populations. Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Preferred

Potential Board Certifications include: Board Certification Specialist in Oncology, Pediatric Critical Care, Renal, Gerontological; Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (NBNSC – ASPEN); Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (NCBDE). For outpatient/wellness center/rehabilitation, Board Certified Specialist in sports dietetics, obesity and weight management. If a board certification is not held, the required experience level for acute‑care hospital or similar work is considered equivalent. Where You’ll Work
