About the Role Eastern Iowa Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Mercy Health, is committed to exceptional patient care. As an OT, you will help patients exceed industry standards and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assume responsibility for patient care and act as an intermediate supervisor when necessary.
Assess patients' needs, initiate appropriate OT interventions, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
Observe and evaluate treatment effect, recommend changes, and notify the physician if required.
Perform accurate assessment and timely QI scoring for adult and geriatric patients in an adult medical rehabilitation program.
Evaluate pain interference with function, provide interventions to reduce pain, and contact the physician as needed.
Qualifications
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required.
Effective oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages preferred.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
