Job Description The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce an opening for a Credentialing Specialist.

The Credentialing Specialist role will support all aspects of the MU Health Care credentials verification process for medical staff, advanced practice professionals, and University Physician (UP) billing staff during the initial appointment and re-credentialing process.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively as well as independently. The ideal candidate must be able to work closely with other departmental and hospital staff, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, interact effectively with diverse personalities, have initiative and vision, and the highest level of professionalism.

Maintain Credentialing Files

Miscellaneous Medical Staff requirements for providers

Other duties as assigned

Shift Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired. One (1) year of experience confirming work history, education, training, background, and/or reference checks or similar experience.

Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: $19.15 - $30.23 hourly

Grade: PAT - 006
