Overview The Clinical Coordinator performs under the supervision of the Program Director with matrix supervision from the Director of Education.
Responsibilities
Correlate and coordinate clinical education and evaluate its effectiveness
Evaluate the progress of student performance in the clinical area
Assist the Program Director in coordinating clinical education
Supervise student performance at clinical affiliates
Develop student objectives and evaluation tools for clinical education
Perform competency based clinical evaluations
Maintain student clinical assignments
Act as resource to radiography students
Schedule student clinical assignments
Assist in continuous program assessment
Assist clinical staff in maintaining and improving skills relating to student supervision
Conduct film evaluation with students
Instruct specific units of teaching as necessary
Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress
Pursue continuing education in professional practice and instructional methodology
Cooperate with the Program Director in periodic review and revision of clinical course material
Provide training and education to clinical preceptors
Travel to affiliate clinical sites (6)
Duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Graduate of an educational program in Radiology
Holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent
Documents the equivalent of two year full-time experience in the professional discipline
Previous teaching experience preferred
Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling
State certificate as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
2 years of clinical experience as a radiographer preferred
Salary Maximum Salary: USD $93,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary: USD $74,400.00/Yr.
