A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school serving students from Y5 through 5th grade. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) and offers consistent hours from approximately 8:40 AM to 4:00 PM. The focus will be on providing resource room services to support students’ communication and speech needs in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for elementary‑aged students
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing speech and language goals
Provide direct therapy sessions in the resource room setting for students ranging from Y5 to 5th grade
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to monitor student progress and adjust services accordingly
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with education and healthcare guidelines
Desired Qualifications and Skills
Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (SLP‑CCC)
Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
Familiarity with speech‑language pathology practices in healthcare or pediatrics is advantageous
Ability to tailor therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of young learners
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration within the educational environment
