Position Overview
CARDIAC CATH LAB Tech that does Interventional and Cath Lab Radiology. 8‑hour days (7–3 / 8–4) with rotating call (2 days / week, 1 weekend / month). Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist / Radiologist) will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
Responsibilities
Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared for procedures.
Monitor par level of all instruments and supplies.
Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance‑improvement activities.
Assist in the training of new staff and in all aspects of invasive and non‑invasive cardiac procedures.
Qualifications
ARRT‑R and licensed as required by state; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology department preferred.
BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and must be kept current.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills.
