Job Description:

Brand new 20 private‑bed cardiac PCU opening on May 1, located in a 160 private‑bed hospital

Expected Unit Population on day 1: ACS/PCI, STeMI, CHF, Peripheral interventions, CEA, Fem/Pop Bypass, Basic EP

Future Growth to include: TCAR and Advanced EP

Requires training in Sheath Pulls (completed during orientation)

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age‑specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Associate’s of Nursing (Required)

Bachelor’s of Nursing

Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement

Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement

Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Chemotherapy Certificate (CHEMO) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Critical Care Registered Nurse – Tele‑ICU (CCRN‑E) – Accredited Issuing Body

Electronic Fetal Monitoring (CEFM) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Neonatal Med Certification (NEONATAL MED) – Accredited Issuing Body

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
