SDP BUFFALO RANCH
, located on the southwest corner of Fort Worth, Texas, is a high-volume stallion station and cutting horse training facility operating in the heart of cutting horse country.
SDP stands more than 30+ carefully selected stallions and provides full-service training and showing within the cutting horse industry, serving a large and established national and international clientele.
Rooted in generations of horsemen, SDP Buffalo Ranch is also a USDA-approved export and quarantine facility with extensive experience supporting both domestic and international breeding programs.
We are currently seeking a
full-time resident equine veterinarian
to join our team, with the long-term goal of building a sustainable in-house veterinary practice and expanding to additional associates as the practice grows.
This position is designed for a veterinarian with interest in
equine reproduction and or performance horse care
, with the opportunity to develop and grow a structured lameness and general practice program alongside our existing reproductive professionals.
Our veterinary and breeding programs benefit from decades of hands-on reproductive experience under one roof, supported by a dedicated team of experienced horsemen and staff.

The ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and interested in long-term professional growth, with a desire to play an integral role in shaping and expanding a practice within a well-established, high-quality equine operation.

Provide veterinary support for the facility’s reproductive program during peak breeding season, working overseeing experienced reproductive staff and established protocols.
Perform reproductive examinations and procedures on site, including ultrasonography and embryo flushes, based on experience and comfort level. Dedicated team with years of experience to assist.
Oversee and support herd health needs for horses maintained on the ranch, with assistance from a knowledgeable and experienced horsemanship team.
Ideally, establish in house performance horse wellness, soundness, and maintenance care for training and show horses; experience in lameness and sport horse evaluation is valued but not required.
Work collaboratively with a
dedicated team of horsemen and support staff
, allowing the veterinarian to focus on veterinary medicine rather than routine handling or logistics.
