SDP BUFFALO RANCH

, located on the southwest corner of Fort Worth, Texas, is a high-volume stallion station and cutting horse training facility operating in the heart of cutting horse country.

SDP stands more than 30+ carefully selected stallions and provides full-service training and showing within the cutting horse industry, serving a large and established national and international clientele.

Rooted in generations of horsemen, SDP Buffalo Ranch is also a USDA-approved export and quarantine facility with extensive experience supporting both domestic and international breeding programs.

We are currently seeking a

full-time resident equine veterinarian

to join our team, with the long-term goal of building a sustainable in-house veterinary practice and expanding to additional associates as the practice grows.

This position is designed for a veterinarian with interest in

equine reproduction and or performance horse care

, with the opportunity to develop and grow a structured lameness and general practice program alongside our existing reproductive professionals.

Our veterinary and breeding programs benefit from decades of hands-on reproductive experience under one roof, supported by a dedicated team of experienced horsemen and staff.

We place a strong emphasis on customer service and long-term client relationships, and we view our clients as partners in the success of their horses from conception through a competitive show career.

The ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and interested in long-term professional growth, with a desire to play an integral role in shaping and expanding a practice within a well-established, high-quality equine operation.

Compensation and Opportunity Highlights:

Competitive base salary with

profit sharing on all veterinary-generated income

Short-term housing available for relocation support

Partnership opportunities available

for the right long-term fit

Provide veterinary support for the facility’s reproductive program during peak breeding season, working overseeing experienced reproductive staff and established protocols.

Perform reproductive examinations and procedures on site, including ultrasonography and embryo flushes, based on experience and comfort level. Dedicated team with years of experience to assist.

Oversee and support herd health needs for horses maintained on the ranch, with assistance from a knowledgeable and experienced horsemanship team.

Work collaboratively with a

dedicated team of horsemen and support staff

, allowing the veterinarian to focus on veterinary medicine rather than routine handling or logistics.

One of the most attractive aspects of working at SDP Buffalo Ranch is the emphasis on

regular, predictable working hours

.

After-hours and emergency coverage is

shared

with on-site horsemen and coordinated with other local veterinary clinics as needed.

SDP maintains active working relationships with surrounding clinics to ensure emergency responsibilities are appropriately distributed and to avoid overburdening the resident veterinarian.
