The Production Planner will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules including New Product Introduction (NPI) projects using SAP and Kinaxis RapidResponse. This role requires a strong understanding of demand and supply planning, including the ability to interpret forecasts, manage backorders, and prioritize production needs effectively.

The planner will work closely with Component Purchasing , Project Management, and Production on a weekly basis to ensure alignment between material availability and project timelines. Success in this role depends on proactive communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to adapt to changing supply chain conditions.

Responsibilities

Interpret demand forecasts and supply constraints to create executable production schedules

Develop and maintain production plans

Proactively manage backordered demand, ensuring prioritization aligns with business and project needs.

Collaborate weekly with Component Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials and components

Monitor and adjust production schedules to respond to changes in demand, supply constraints, or project scope

Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and system utilization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Arts or Science preferred

Minimum of 6 years working with and planning Supply and Demand

Minimum of 3 years experience fulfilling Demand

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with manufacturing environments and BOM structures is a plus

Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($66,500 - $95,000) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
