Primarily Remote | Temporary | Baltimore, MD (Occasional Onsite)
About the Role We’re supporting a
health insurance broker management team
during a high-volume busy season and are looking for a
hands‑on Broker Support Coordinator
to help keep day‑to‑day operations running smoothly.
This is
not a sales role . You will not be selling insurance. Instead, you’ll work behind the scenes to
support brokers and internal sales teams , helping resolve issues, answer questions, and keep enrollments moving during ACA and Medicare peak periods.
This role is well suited for someone with a background in
health insurance customer support, enrollment, or sales support
who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting insurance brokers with day‑to‑day questions and issue resolution
Managing a shared inbox and responding to a high volume of inquiries
Checking application status, resolving missing information, and troubleshooting enrollment issues
Assisting with commission‑related questions and payment discrepancies
Helping with required monthly government enrollment reporting (training provided)
Coordinating with internal teams to research and resolve escalations
Adapting quickly to changing regulations, systems, and processes common in the insurance space
Tools You’ll Use
CRM platforms, including
Salesforce
(ACA‑related work) and
Nations Medicare
(Medicare‑related work)
Microsoft
Outlook, Excel, and Word
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting
customers, brokers, agents, or sales teams
in a health insurance or regulated environment
Comfort working in
high‑volume, deadline‑driven
settings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and adaptable
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Medicare or ACA enrollment experience
Prior broker support, enrollment operations, or sales support experience
Familiarity with payer‑side health insurance environments
Work Setup
Primarily remote
Occasional onsite meetings or training in the
Baltimore area
(typically once per month)
