Overview
The Staff Accountant
will prepare and maintain financial records to track the accounting activities of the businesses and corporate service departments. The successful candidate will exhibit a high level of passion for excellence, collaboration, and integrity. Winning in this role is accomplished by partnering with fellow accounting team members to develop efficient and effective accounting and business processes leading to accurate reporting of financial results. Responsibilities Performs general
cost accounting
and other related duties for the organization Prepares general ledger
account reconciliations
for various asset, liability, and revenue accounts to support the month-end close Maintains various subledgers including fixed assets, prepayments, and accrued expenses Performs monthly
bank reconciliations Supports timely and accurate month-end close for all business units, including international entities Verifies weekly payments of
payable invoices Supports accounts
receivable collections Assists AR and AP functions as needed Key contributor of information and support for external financial statement audit Key user of company ERP systems (JobBoss & Epicor) Understand and support sales tax compliance throughout the US Works closely with accounting team member to identify and implement business process improvements Supports other finance and business partners as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting Demonstrated experience with accounting close processes and ERP systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels Ability to prioritize work in an effective manner meeting the needs of stakeholders Winning and collaborative disposition Commitment to company values and business ethics
