Permanent role for a mechanical engineer designing and validating engineered-to-order industrial process equipment. The position centers on development of cooling processes and thermal management solutions integrated into complex, mission‑critical systems used in large‑scale energy and industrial operations. Work spans conceptual thermal modeling, applied fluid dynamics, and mechanical evaluation through fabrication support and performance validation. You will own thermal and flow behavior of custom hardware operating under tight heat‑rejection, pressure, vibration, and acoustic constraints. Requirements

Minimum 5 years in thermal or mechanical design within power generation, energy systems, or advanced process‑equipment manufacturing BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering Direct experience with heat exchangers, de‑aeration equipment, rotating machinery, vacuum systems, ejectors, and precision control valves Strong foundation in heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and system hydraulics Experience developing cooling processes and heat‑rejection strategies using applied fluid dynamics Working knowledge of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) as a tool for fluid‑flow and heat‑transfer analysis Experience with ANSYS, Fluent, CFX, COMSOL, or equivalent CFD/FEA platforms Proficiency with MATLAB, Excel‑based solvers, or internal engineering tools for thermal and hydraulic modeling Working knowledge of ASME codes and equipment specification standards Responsibilities

Lead thermal, fluid‑dynamic, and mechanical design validation for large, integrated process systems Develop cooling concepts and thermal architectures using analytical methods and CFD‑based fluid dynamics modeling Perform thermal and hydraulic calculations for equipment sizing, pressure drop, heat transfer, and drainage paths Use CFD to evaluate flow distribution, heat‑transfer performance, and thermal margins under operating conditions Generate and review performance curves, thermal models, acoustic data, and control documentation Build and maintain engineering calculation tools and selection programs supporting thermal and fluid‑dynamics analysis Review fabrication drawings, materials, and assembly methods for thermal and mechanical integrity Support testing and validation efforts, correlating CFD and analytical models to measured performance To apply, please send resume to: rick@libertyjobs.com
