Job Summary
Horizon Allied Services Mining is looking for a highly skilled Logistics and Transportation Manager to oversee our mining project’s logistics in Shidan, Somalia. This role involves developing and managing logistics strategies, coordinating supply chain operations, and ensuring the efficient transportation of materials
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize operations. Coordinate supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods. Oversee the movement and distribution of materials and products. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and logistics providers. Ensure compliance with safety procedures in logistics and transportation. Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs.
Skills and Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and transportation management within the mining industry, particularly in East Africa. Strong background in supply chain management, contract negotiation, and logistics optimization. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
