Responsibilities

Design, build, and scale features across the stack (React, Node.js, TypeScript).

Collaborate closely with local government staff (planners, plan examiners, permitting teams) to gather feedback and refine workflows.

Participate in end-to-end development: architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration.

Shape engineering culture and best practices as a core early team member.

Qualifications Required

2–12 years of full-stack engineering experience with strong proficiency in React, Node.js, and TypeScript.

For experienced engineers: prior startup experience (ideally pre-seed to Series A).

For new grads: evidence of leadership (side projects, entrepreneurial work, college sports, or similar).

U.S. work authorization.

Preferred Experience

Background in govtech, proptech, healthtech, or other mission-driven orgs (e.g., Code for America, USDR, 18F).

Familiarity with user-centric development and fast feedback loops.

Soft Skills

High EQ and ability to interact directly with planners, examiners, and government staff.

Strong written and verbal communication.

Comfortable engaging directly with customers to validate and improve product.
