Role Summary The Materials Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all materials-related functions, including warehouse operations, inventory control, material flow, and scheduling to support production and shipping needs. This role ensures accurate material availability, efficient storage and distribution processes, and alignment with purchasing and production requirements. The Materials Supervisor leads a team and works cross-functionally to maintain accurate records, optimize efficiency, and support overall operational performance.

Core Responsibilities

Lead and support the warehouse team, providing direction, training, performance feedback, and development.

Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material movement, and staging for production.

Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, reconciliation, and documentation of material transactions.

Coordinate material scheduling to ensure timely availability for production and shipping requirements.

Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory levels, production schedules, material transactions, and reporting.

Monitor and improve materials processes to support efficiency, accuracy, and cost‑effective operations.

Collaborate with production, purchasing, and shipping teams to resolve material issues and support workflow continuity.

Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations in all materials and warehouse activities.

As with all leadership roles at KRB, this position is actively hands‑on and requires regular participation in warehouse activities to support the team and daily operations.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in materials management, warehouse leadership, inventory control, or related operations.

Skills: Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control practices, production scheduling, and ERP systems; effective leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Work Environment This role operates in a warehouse or shop‑floor environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, and other industrial conditions. Work may include coordination with production areas, shipping docks, and storage locations.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel.

Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

May be required to lift and/or move materials up to 50 pounds.
