The HireMilitary DoD SkillBridge / Career Skills Program (CSP) Internship is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29 as enacted by 10 U.S.C. Sec 1143. Eligibility is restricted to members of the U.S. Armed Forces separating honorably with greater than 180 days of continuous Active Duty. SkillBridge/CSP period of eligibility is within the final 180 days of Active Duty service, and the SkillBridge/CSP must be completed prior to separation from Active Duty in the U.S. Armed Forces. HireMilitary DoD SkillBridge/CSP is open to members of all services, and all ranks and experience levels. Service members should fully review SkillBridge/CSP Position Description for individual opportunity requirements and qualifications.
SkillBridge participants participate in full time training with industry (40 hour work week) under military orders and are not eligible for compensation from HireMilitary or its partner host employers but will continue to receive all military wages and benefits for the period of the DoD SkillBridge/CSP enrollment.

The Role Our North American subsidiary located in Eden Prairie, MN currently has an opening for a field service representative to perform product and applications support activities for the purpose of maintaining equipment and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Customer Support Engineer applies knowledge of electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restoring equipment to operation.
Job responsibilities include:
Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade analytical instruments at customer sites and other locations.
Train users in software applications and correct equipment operation and maintenance.
Provide phone support to customers and recommend action to be taken – order parts, service visit, etc.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by monitoring assigned support activities and maintaining an appropriate level of communication with supervisor and support coordinator.
Comply with safety standards, company policies, and business objectives.
Maintain accurate accounts of services performed and submit activity and expense reports using designated resources according to company and department policy and procedures.
Update scheduling application and keep supervisor informed of activities.
Keep abreast of product and policy information through frequent review of company intranet and website portal.
Attend service meetings and training sessions.
What You Bring Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related field (preferred)
Associate Degree or Military training in related field
Knowledge of electric systems
Experience in field service or applications engineering in support of complex electro-mechanical equipment
Must be able to pass background, driving, and credit background check
Experience in meat processing highly desired
Considerations:
90% travel
Work environment in processing facilities/plants
Ability to lift/move ~ 70lbs
Ability to travel long distance (drive or fly)
